Excava Holding (“Excava”) is pleased to announce that the company has completed the staking of two significant land packages in the Atacama region, northern Chile, which add significant upside to its grassroot portfolio.
The Martillo property adds 3,800 ha of exploration concessions over the eastern side of one of the most important copper-gold IOCG districts in Chile. The Martillo claim block represents a unique opportunity to explore for high-grade oxide & sulphide Cu resources with Au & Ag, in a large 3,800 hectares setting immersed in an extremely well-endowed mineral belt amenable to exploration and mining year-round, near complete infrastructure and skilled labour force. The western edge of their claims lies less than 15 kilometers from the pit at Lundin’s Candelaria mine operation and within 10 kilometers of some of the well-known high grade shallow underground mines in the district.
The Las Vegas property adds 1,600 ha of exploration concessions, located approximately 30 kms south of Lundin’s Candelaria mine. The project is well situated in the “El Jardin” high grade manto Ag-Au-Cu district of the Cerrillos Fm. Proximity to active workings and hydrothermal alteration makes this an ideal exploration target.
